Confirm JIT report theft of 2.7m Pakistanis’ information from Nadra database

An investigation report prepared by a joint investigation team confirmed that sensitive personal information of approximately 2.7 million Pakistanis was stolen from the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) database over a four-year period.

Shocking facts about the massive data breach were contained in a report prepared by his JIT investigating the massive scandal involving the alleged NADRA database breach. According to sources, the JIT formed to investigate the scam has completed its investigation and prepared a report.

JIT has submitted its report to the Ministry of Interior, Islamabad. Massive data theft occurred from 2019 to 2023.

Officials at the Ministry of Home Affairs have begun reviewing the contents of the report.
According to sources, the JIT report revealed that the data theft took place at his NADRA offices in Multan, Karachi and Peshawar. The agency recommended action against his NADRA executives concerned who were responsible for the negligence that led to this large-scale data theft. The stolen data was allegedly moved from Multan to Peshawar and finally arrived in Dubai.

The JIT report states that there is evidence that his stolen NADRA data appears to have been later sold in Argentina and Romania. FIA official Syed Wakaruddin headed the JIT, which also included representatives from sensitive agencies and NADRA candidates.
